The Verdapis Mercenary Company bursts into the cathedral. Beryl moves to stop them, but Ibroy yells, “They’re on our side!” Forced into an uneasy alliance, Beryl and the others escort the prince and princess safely to the palace. Along the way, Beryl’s rage clashes with Hanoy’s pride as a mercenary. But an even greater crisis engulfs the Holy City – caused by none other than Pope Morris himself.
